NHK Asadora (朝ドラ, morning drama) - available on Oceanic Cable channel 677 (NGN1) and 678 (NGN2). These series feature short 15-minute episodes, which can be great listening practice for serious students of Japanese.
- 80th: Tsubasa （つばさ）
- 79th: Dan Dan （だんだん） is about Megumi and Nozomi, twin girls who had been separated at birth by their parent's divorce but meet unexpectedly ... (2008 - 2009, 150 episodes)
- 78th: Hitomi （ひとみ or 瞳） is about a 20-year-old from Sapporo who dreams of becoming a successful dancer (2008, 156 episodes).
- 31st: Oshin （おしん） was most successful morning drama of all (1983-1984).
- 1st: Musume to Watashi （むすめとわたし or 娘と私）, NHK's first Morning Drama serial, began in April 1961 and ran for a year.
